Baby Driver is director Edgar Wright’s latest outing, known for his work with comedy duo Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World’s End) it is fair to say Baby Driver is a new direction for Wright. However having read some amazing reviews for this film my doubts and apprehensions soon faded and I went into the film with very high expectations. Upon leaving the cinema those expectations still managed to be exceeded.

This film is totally awesome and mangoes to feel completely unique in a cinematic world where everything appears to be glossy and magical. Everything is filmed and edited beautifully, the action sequences are superb, as is the acting. The film covers multiple genres; romance, comedy, drama, and yet still manages to flow perfectly and remain entertaining. The soundtrack is immense and really helps ground the film and develop the plot seamlessly. This movie is potentially Wright’s finest and truly distinguishes his established tone from the world of his British comedies that we have grown to love.
